Founded in 1975, the mid-Missouri chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) has educated the public on their constitutional rights when dealing with police, written legislation and lobbied to decrease penalties for marijuana use, and, most recently, taught mid-Missourians how to grow their own medicine. We’ve even helped get people like Jeff Mizanskey out of jail for marijuana offenses. So yeah. We’ve been busy.
But the biggest battle is yet to come. Until recreational marijuana is legal in Missouri, there will still be people arrested for possessing this harmless plant. We will still see children ripped away from loving parents. We can reform these unjust laws. Help us change them.
